Poor response to warranty claim

I bought a Frigidaire icemaker in September 2023 that has stopped making ice around Christmas. Retail for $316.

I have been trying to work with this company who is the warranty company. I've had to call them 5-10 times. Their website doesn't accept the photo/video evidence they needed.

Their claims department doesn't take phone calls.

Now they want me to ship it back at my cost which is almost as much as a brand new ice maker. I responded to their email regarding shipping this back and immediately received and email from PissedConsumer.com stating my email won't go through without an account which had already been created by someone on here with my information.

It's all a little fishy.

Not honoring Warranty

Curtis International - Not honoring Warranty

Why does Curtis not honor the warranty on Frigidaire mini refrigerators? Why does Frigidaire hide behind Curtis?

Why is Curtis hiding from consumers and not allowing reviews on Amazon? They can't hide from everything or everyone. These mini refrigerators are only the start of an upcoming purchasing project. I have been purchasing Frigidaires for over 20 years and even when I worked building retirement communities and hotels.

But no longer if this is how the company is going to react to their products not working properly. If Curtis does business like this and Frigidaire hides behind Curtis, then you will lose my business forever.

Do right by this customer and let me return the mini refrigerators I purchased for $179 each. It's a cheap way to lose or win loyalty and customer satisfaction.

User's recommendation: Do not buy from CURTIS...Look up Curtis International. They market for a lot of brand names and you think you are buying directly from the company but you are not.. They do not honor warranties and are a funnel for these companies to ignore customers.

I purchased a portable dvd player form them. I do not use it very often, just to watch a movie every once in a while.

It stays charged for a few hours. So, since Ive had it I havent had to charge it.until now. When I looked for the a/c adapter that was supposed to be included to plug the cable into the dvd player so I could plug it into the wall to charge itthere wasnt one. But, I wasnt to concerned, I thought I could one these I have at home.

NOPE! Because the adapter it uses has the smallest slot to plug into and the stores and Amazon does not sell them (I checked) When I contacted customer service (after several emails and pictures sent) they stated the part was not available.!!

I dont understand how a crucial part for a product they continually sell cannot be available. Basically, the portable dvd player I purchased from them is useless and worthless to me.

Your warranty claim department is horrible!!! I started a claim in July on a IceMaker that was under the one year mark and send the unit back at MY expense. As of today 11/7/2023 STILL no refund or NEW unit. I will be contacting an attorney to resolve this issue if you do not take care of it!!!

Texted, called, emailed every time they wanted something different or didnt get. Ok (sarcasm). Finally today they said they had 2 tickets open form hence confusion. I sent everything they needed they said Id receive email. We wiser. Not once have they contacted me its been one sided. Hopefully in a day or two Ill hear something or Ill be back on phone. $300 a lot for icebreaker not to work

Product only worked for 5 months. The warranty required us to send the machine that cost $100. to send in!! You can't talk to anyone who can do anything to help Besides the product is a Frgidaire but too many 3rd parties taking care of the warranty and they don't give a rip!!!

Purchased an RCA television (Model#RHOS654SM) on April 7, 2022. A horizontal line appeared on June 24, 2022 across the entire screen.

On a two month old TV! This unit was purchased at a local retailer partially with loyalty points as I am disabled and on a fixed income, and it was the only way that I could afford a new television. I needed a bigger screen to be able to see the picture clearly.

When I contacted Curtis, they instructed me to send pictures of the front and back of the unit as well as the purchased details. As this is a larger unit, I had some helpers come over and install it on a wall mount.

As a disabled person, it was not possible for me to do any of the things Curtis required without assistance.

After asking for some help, I got the pictures taken and sent off. Curtis said that they would review and determine if I would get a new TV or a refund for my purchase. A refund! For a unit that I bought on sale in addition to my loyalty points that I saved for a year!

I explained that simply sending me a cheque for my purchase price would mean very little as the amount that paid was significantly less than the price of a replacement unit. My requests fell on deaf ears. Instead, I got automatic email replies requesting the same things over and over. Cut the cord, scrape the serial #, etc, etc.

Great. Except that I would be completely without a television.

So, basically, Curtis International is a scam outfit that may or may not actually their warranty on the junkie products that they sell. If I bought a blender that quit after 2 months, I would expect to get a replacement blender.

What Cutis offered was a cheque for me to go get a 20" discount brand television at a discount wholesaler. Skip this brand completely!

70" TV completely lost picture after 10 months. Sent in the required information, but they never reply to resolve anything. From what I am seeing online they are not going to honor the warranty. Iam a senior and on a limited income. I want a full refund! TV can be disabled without returning. As a senior I have tons of free time. I have never in my life had a TV go out on me. Negative reviews and BBB complaints will be pursued if I lose my claim.

I've have the same issue with Curtis International customer service, I asked a simple question on their ice maker. I wanted to replace the plastic window that hold the ice, so I asked how much to PURCHASE the window.

2 month later still waiting for a quote!

I might as well throw it away and buy a different brand that is NOT Curtis International built. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MANUFACTURER.
